The history of the humble taxicab

In the begining,was the need for transportation of individuals or small
groups of people.

Hackney carriages began operating in paris and London in the 16th cen-
tiry by royal decree.
The carriages were distinguished by the uniforms of their drivers and the
color of their carriages.

The first meter equipped taxi cab built in 1897 by Gottlieb Daimler of
Mercedes fame and sold to Friendrich Greiner eho started the world's first
taxi company.The world's first motorised taxi cab hit the streets of stutt-
gart,Germany in the early summer of 1897.
